My Commitments.

As I navigate through life and business with a clearer lens - I want to ensure that I am an active part of the change that reaches past social media sharing, donations, and tough conversations.

In this life, I have always fought for human rights, but now know that the scale to which that happens on - needs to be deeply greater. During 2020, my biggest blind spot that was shown to me through various workshops, was that I didn’t have an active, and on-going plan.

With keeping tough conversations on the table, declining clients who displayed any type of discrimination, and educating myself on current events (donating, signing, etc) - I felt like I was being active, but 2020 showed me that in fact - I wasn’t. I was being reactive, and addressing things as they came up. I see now that is unacceptable. I am committed to the following within my personal and professional life -

I will continue to

  • further invest time and money into education, resources, events/workshops to continue my personal learning

  • take personal and professional responsibility for tackling systematic oppression and racism

  • keep confronting conversations on the table, and speak up in all conversations - regardless of conflict

  • decolonize beliefs and practices

  • volunteer within dedicated organizations bettering of communities and providing services of all kinds to vulnerable individuals

  • apologize and own any wrongdoing or any harm that I am responsible for

  • offer 4 ‘Mini Strategic Partnerships’ dedicated to BIPOC & LGBTQI2S+ clients

  • serve only those who are actively seeking to better themselves, their communities, and to be a part of the change

  • collaborate only with individuals, businesses, and organizations that are committed to naming and breaking down systems of oppression

  • dedicate all investments and money spent on services, software, vendors, or contractors - etc, are with organizations and businesses aligned with my beliefs

Every being on this planet is so deeply connected to one another. When anyone is held back due to a lack of human rights - none of us are truly successful. It is each of our responsibility to fight against injustice, be an active part of the change, and protect those who are oppressed and discriminated against. These commitments are how I will continually be an active part of that change, and taking responsibility for my role in tackling and systematic racism and oppression.

It’s time to keep unlearning and relearning. In my life, this business - and in my future businesses, I plan to keep doing that, in all ways. I hope you will join.
